44 hectares of art, wellness, dining & education on Bali's Tabanan coast
Nuanu Creative City is a 44-hectare integrated community on Bali's western Tabanan coastline, designed to blend art, nature, and sustainable living. Unlike conventional resort developments, Nuanu was conceived as a living ecosystem where creativity, wellness, and education coexist within a single walkable landscape. The project brings together art installations, organic restaurants, wellness retreats, an international school, and sustainable architecture, all connected by footpaths that wind through restored mangrove forests and native tropical gardens. LUNA Residences sits at the heart of this ecosystem, offering residents direct beach access alongside proximity to a curated collection of cultural and lifestyle amenities.
Residents of LUNA enjoy complimentary access to the broader Nuanu ecosystem. The Lumeira SPA houses the world's largest domed hammam, complemented by a wood-fired sauna, infinity pool, and cold plunge. Sutala Market, a 17,000 m² culinary hub, offers more than 60 restaurants and cafés ranging from plant-based kitchens to fine-dining concepts. Aurora Media Park — Bali's first outdoor multimedia park — features a one-kilometre immersive jungle walk with light installations and sound art. These amenities are not isolated attractions but interconnected experiences that residents use daily, transforming routine errands and evening strolls into moments of discovery.
For families considering full-time or extended-stay living, Nuanu includes ProEd Global School, a Cambridge-certified international institution serving children of resident families. The presence of an established school within the community eliminates the daily commute that many expatriate families face in Bali, where international schools are often located in Denpasar or Canggu — up to an hour's drive from coastal properties. At Nuanu, children walk to school along shaded pathways, and parents gain back the hours that would otherwise be lost in traffic. This integration of education, housing, and lifestyle is what distinguishes Nuanu from standalone villa developments.
Nuanu was built on principles of environmental regeneration. The development preserved existing mangrove forests, restored native vegetation, and adopted sustainable building practices throughout. Structures are designed to maximise natural ventilation and daylight, reducing reliance on air conditioning and artificial lighting. Organic waste from restaurants is composted on-site, and a network of permaculture gardens supplies produce to the community's kitchens. LUNA Residences extends this philosophy with YODEZEEN-designed interiors that emphasise natural materials — warm wood paneling, natural stone, and floor-to-ceiling glass that dissolves the boundary between interior and landscape.
